Join a charter race yacht — with skipper — for one of the Mediterranean's most beautiful regattas. You bring your hands and your energy; I handle the boat, the entry and the logistics. 6 seats open.
Experienced skipper, full safety briefing, training day(s) before the start, and all the logistics handled for you.
Equal split, nobody profits. Secure payment (bank transfer or card), balance only after I share the signed charter contract.
Skipper liability + charter deposit + accident/illness, plus Regatta Coverage — the racing cover standard policies leave out.
I love sailing — it pulls me completely out of everyday life, resets my mind and inspires me. The contact of the boat and the whole crew with the sea and the wind is, for me, a continuous discovery that stirs real emotion, race after race. I organise these trips because I love them — not for profit.
Three years of international and local regattas across the Mediterranean (Turkey, Italy, Spain, Greece): Rodos Cup, Loryma Cup, Rixos Cup, MIYC Trio Cup, BAYK Bodrum Winter Trophy, Göcek Spring Race Week — in the IRC and IRC Charter classes. I've raced alongside Turkey's national champions and stood on the podium with them; as skipper, I've taken the podium at the Rodos Cup and several other Mediterranean cups.
Every boat cost is pooled and split equally across 7 (skipper included). Nobody makes money — you simply pay the agent rate I have access to.
This is the part most casual trips skip. I arrange a proper charter policy with Regatta Coverage for the boat and the whole group — because ordinary travel insurance excludes yacht racing and charter-deposit damage.
Quality people, not professionals — but not first-timers either. The minimum bar:
Sailors from anywhere in Europe are welcome. Many of us come back 2–3 times a year — a good fit gets priority for the next editions.
November in Göcek: a sheltered bay with generally light-to-medium, shifty winds — technical racing where crew synchronisation matters more than brute force. Mild days (often 20 °C+), cooler mornings, a chance of rain. Bring layers and a waterproof. We do at least one training day before the start to dial in the manoeuvres.
Partners who don't race can stay at a hotel in Göcek while you sail — from a 5-star resort to cosy boutiques, all 2–5 minutes from the marina, at any budget. Tell me on the form and I'll arrange the package.
